Note: So much of the historical fiction I’ve recommended is set in the 1900’s, with some from the 1800’s. I think historical fiction is a great way for kids to learn about new time periods, so this book is a great opportunity for kids to travel back to a time period they maybe don’t know as much about…the medieval times!
Winnie’s Great War
This is the story of the real bear that inspired Winnie-the-Pooh. Travel back in time and join Bear on her journey from the woods in Ontario, Canada to wartime London to meeting Christopher Robin Milne. A sweet story about the origin of a beloved bear.
